DVD/CD ROM drive not working?

Italiano Asked: DVD/CD ROM drive not working?

When i insert a cd of any sort notihng comes up, it spins the cd but it wont play anything. nothing comes up, i went to device management and this is what i got, can anyone help me fix this problem so i can watch movies and play a game??

this is what i found>>>>
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

uninstall the drivers, reboot windows & let windows reinstall the drivers.

control panel > Device Manager > DVD/CD ROM drives > right click the drive, >Properties > Driver Tab & click "Uninstall"

your DVD codec may be damaged or missing, look it upand reinstall it.

So what your computer is complaining about is a lack of a driver it can use.Think of it as a car, with out a driver you cannot use it for anything that requires it to be driven.

So, find out the name of your dvd/cd player, go to that companies website, and go to support, find your player, select your driver and OS version you are using and download it.
