Skyrim unable to find Severio Pelagia? (PS3)?

I have completed the Civil War quest line in favor of the Stormcloakers. Apparently Severio Pelagia was killed during one of the Civil War quests. Severio Pelagia is also used in the companion quest line for the first mission "Hired Muscle." Now I am unable to complete the companion quest line. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this without using the command console (Because I am on PS3) or without loading a previous save, as I have already progressed through the game and do not wish to reload. OR, does anyone know if the recent 2.1 Skyrim patch has fixed this problem? As it has not been fixed for me.
