Asked: I think my EVGA GeForce GTX 680 is Fried? Can Anyone Confirm?
As I type this message I'm extremely PO'd because I have only had my GTX 680 for a little over 3 months and I assume that it is already fried. Yesterday I was playing Darksiders II and I noticed that occasionally during gameplay the screen would have very stretchy artifacts and then afterwards the screen would go black then come back up after about 30 seconds but the game would run at extremely low frames (keep in mind I can run the game at 250 fps normally). Today I turned my computer on to a black screen and no matter what I did, the computer wouldn't display an image. Thinking this was just a glitch, I turned it off then back on again. When it came back on it booted up normally but on the "windows bootup" screen I noticed these red lines that ran across my entire screen. Thinking this was odd I proceeded with the boot process like normal and when I got to the log in page the screen resolution became very big at a size of 800×600 and my Nvidia Control Panel was completely gone and my EVGA Precision X programgave me a warning message saying "No Hardware Detected!" as if my graphics card wasn't even in my computer anymore. I think the only reason why I am able to see an image is because it reverted to the on-board Intel graphics accelerator but I could be wrong. I also have tried updating my drivers and installing the Nvidia Control Panel again but that didn't work. If anyone could try to diagnose this problem I'd appreciate it. I honestly think my graphics card is fried but I could be wrong. Could someone confirm?
Thanks for any/all answers.
Asked: What Graphics Card Should I Get?
I quit PC gaming a few years ago but now I'm looking to get back into it.I've completely lost touch with current hardware. If I want to play new and recent games on max/very high graphical settings what kind of card should I get.I made the mistake of buying my last PC with onboard graphics that can't be upgraded too easily. What kind of price range should I look at for a new PC that has the graphics I want? Thanks.

Asked: Best nvidia card for 1600p?
I have a Dell ultra sharp monitor which is awesome but very demanding on hardware. I currently run 9800gt x2 in sli, and it seems a bit weak. I want to do some racing gaming, no super action violent stuff, while also doing some adobe editing on Photoshop, illustrator, and premiere pro. Any card with a decent price is good. My current ideas are…
1) zotac gtx 570 (mercury engine, maybe 2 in sli)
2)(some brand) gtx 670
Please tell me the card with the best performance, but cheap enough so I can spend it on other stuff.
Asked: what is the best new GTX 570 card?
I want Adobe Mercury hardware rendering. Quaddro chips cost as much as the entire US budget. 600 series chips aren't supported. So I must buy a GTX 570 card as a best balance. I also want to play some games, very few though, nothing too intense, mostly driving games. 2560×1600 res. Trusted retailer, new if possible.
Asked: Is the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M good for gaming?
The laptop I'm going to buy has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphic card. I play Battlefield 3 and Black Ops 2. Could I run them on high or ultra.
Asked: Which computer upgrade would be better? please help. (thanks in advance)?
I'm upgrading my computer, which upgrade would do best if I'm onto gaming? (AC3,BF3 DX11 games)
MY current specs:
Motherboard:a mobo with 2 DDR2 ram slots, 775 intel socket, and PCI-E 1.0
Processor: Intel E5200 2.5 ghz dual core
Ram: 4GB 800mhz DDR2
GPU: GT430 2gb DDR3
My choice of upgrade is:
Upgrade the GPU:
From GT430 to GTX 650
My second upgrade choice is:
Upgrade Motherboard to: DDR3 with a PCI-E 2.0, with an intel socket 1155
Upgrade Processor to: G645 2.9 ghz, with a socket 1155
Upgrade RAM to: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz (16GB if I could have extra money)
stuff to keep in mind:
>I know the basics in computers (processor sockets, 1155 socket only for 1155 socket processors and DDR2 isn't compatible to DDR3 stuff like that)
>I know that because of my current PCI-E slot (1.0) , it would bottle-neck a GTX650.
>I'm not aiming for an extremely high FPS aslong as it won't go below 30FPS.
>I know those upgrades isn't much, but that's all I can afford for now, next upgrade would be next Christmas.
>Don't give me other upgrades options, It's hard to find a good place to buy stuff in my place.
