For a fighting game I can really recommend Mortal Kombat. It's not like most other fighting games where you just choose a character and start fighting, in Mortal Kombat you follow a story through a series of characters who's fighting in a great tournament. Each character has his/her own personal goals in the tournament and even if you haven't played the previous MK games this is gonna knock your thumbs off! ^^

as for being a female gamer that makes no difference what you play,as long as your having fun with it that's all that counts.i know you said your not into shootersbut you could check out fallout 3 game of the year and fallout new vegas and the dlcs for it,both great rpg/shooters.you could also check out need for speed most wanted,need for speed shift 1,forza 1/2/3/4,the elder scrolls morrowind game of the year,oblivion game of the year,skyrim,two worlds 1/2,test drive 1/2,crackdown 1/2,all great games.have fun with your new gaming hobby,also dont take any crap from any one if you play online.kick there a@@ and set them straight.hope this helps.

Do you like more realistic driving games? If so, I would recommend the Forza series. Although I can not remember if the game play is offline or online based.

I own a Playstation 2 (yea i know… old school, but I am also a broke college student) and I like Need for Speed: Most wanted. That adds a bit of challenge to the driving game since the cops get progressively harder as the wanted level goes up.

Have you ever tried any of the Grand Theft Auto games? I like San Andreas but there are many games in the series that you can choose from. It has a hint of shooting, some first person interaction with the environment, and lots of driving.

A game that you might like but i highly doubt it would be Resident Evil 4(again i have it for Playstation 2). It follows from the earlier games where there is this genetic mutation occuring and people are turning into zombies aiming to kill you. You go through the map and as you collect money from the people you kill, you can buy better weapons and upgrades to the weapons (which I like because when you buy a gun… it shouldn't be overpowered right away)

Um… I would maybe try Portal 1 or 2. You could also try The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim or The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Oblivion may be a PC based game… can't remember).

But those are some ideas based on some interests you posted. You can always just look up reviews on the games and choose based off of that. Good luck with getting some new games.

If you like driving games then get forza other games I would recommend are
Saints row
Testdrive unlimited 2
Gta 4

As for easy to do shooters
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 (oldie but goodie)
Halo
Fallout 3 and fallout new Vegas
